Tickets are $90, but only $75 if you purchase before April 10, 2012.

The 2011 Human Rights Awards Honorees:

2012 Human Rights Awards Honoree Annie Leonard captivates and compels millions to action through her creative films that call to our attention the high costs of our consumerism, the global impact of our throw-away technology, the corruption of our economic system, the pervasive use of toxic chemicals in our everyday products, and much more.  With more than two decades of experience investigating and organizing around environmental health and justice issues, Annie has made it her life’s calling to blow the whistle on important issues plaguing our world today.  She is currently the Co-Director of the Story of Stuff Project, which she founded in 2008 after she created the 2007 The Story of Stuff webfilm.

2012 People’s Choice Honoree: Global Exchange invites you to nominate and vote for the 2012 People’s Choice Honoree.  Mark your calendar, nominating and voting starts on February 13, 2012.

About the Human Rights Awards

Global Exchange’s Human Rights Awards are grounded in our commitment to ensuring that the rights outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are respected and upheld by our world’s governments and private institutions. Since our founding in 1988, we have partnered with individuals and organizations throughout the world to educate people about threats to political, economic, social and environmental justice and to activate individuals and communities to confront these problems effectively. With these annual awards, Global Exchange recognizes the contributions of individuals and organizations defending human rights in their own countries and around the world.
